F4R
A downloadable game for Windows
Fast Floating Flow Flute Rush!
Short Description
In F4R you explore a distant canyon world as Floaty. The goal is to collect all scattered stars as quickly as possible. The gliding movement defines both the controls and the overall feel of movement: motion is fluid on the ground, on walls, and in the air. A rush can be used from any surface, and a wallrun from any wall.
Effectively combining abilities allows you to build momentum, maintain it, or change direction.
The calm canyon world is both a playground and an arena for movement. A timer constantly helps you weigh and evaluate possibilities, allowing the most effective routes, strategies, and techniques to be discovered.
How fast can you rush?
Instructions
The Goal:
Collect all scattered star collectables within a timer and achieve your own best time.
Controls:

Movement and camera are controlled via the joysticks. The camera adapts automatically, but can be manually controlled at any time. The buttons are assigned as follows:
Jump → A Rush → LB / RT Wallgrab → RB / RT Smash → X Menu → Start
In the Menu:
Selection → D-Pad / Left Stick Confirm → A
Abilities:
Rush:
Rush can only be used when Floaty is touching a surface. It gives a boost in the viewing direction and pushes slightly away from the surface. If Floaty is on a wall, Rush detaches him from it. Rush converts the current velocity into Floaty’s viewing direction, making it especially effective while falling. After use, Rush is weakened for a short time and must recharge.
Wallgrab:
When a wall is hit with Wallgrab, Floaty pulls himself toward it and sticks to it. A surface being a wall can be recognized by its striped texture. Floaty remains attached to the wall until the angle becomes too steep or is released by a Rush. Jumping while on the wall is possible.
Smash:
Smash quickly brings Floaty down to the ground. It is useful for minimizing unwanted airtime or falling duration.
Additional Mechanics:
Speed Storage:
The various actions increase Floaty’s movement speed for a short time. This bonus lasts longer if actions are performed in quick succession.
Bunny Hop:
If you jump again immediately after landing, a small speed boost is gained.
Surface Inclination:
From the canyon’s texture, it can be recognized whether a surface is ground, wall, or ceiling. Without Wallgrab, Floaty can only run on the ground and is heavily slowed by slopes that are too steep.
We hope you enjoy!
